Safety
Representatives play an integral and vital role in the workplace.
Despite this they are often either under-utilised or taken advantage
of.
Some employers (though by no means a considerable number), expect the Safety
Representative to act as Safety Officer for the company.
Expecting them to ensure and maintain safety in the workplace.
In addition to this the Safety Representative has the pressure of the expectations
of colleagues and the requirement to keep up to date with legislative changes.
more to contend with, it is time that Safety Representatives had a forum
of their own. With this in mind the time is right to launch 'SafetyRep'®.
It is envisaged that this newsletter will take some of the isolation
and stress out of the role of the Safety Representative.
With your input and our expertise we intend to highlight and deal with the
issues that affect you and your fellow Safety Representatives, in the workplace.
Employers too, will benefit from involvement and employer submissions will
